Bouddi History Project

We invite you to help make Bouddi Peninsula History!

The Bouddi Peninsula History Project continues as a Work in Progress. We have gathered over 2000 photos many of which give vivid images of the social history of our area over the last 100 years. However, we are still keen to locate more photos so if you have some that are likely to be forgotten in some back cupboard please contact Lee Casey (4360 1588) if you have any photos so that we can ensure that these valuable artifacts are copied and made available for Gosford City Library Archives and for possible publication.

Bouddi Bios
We had more than 30  writers working on bios of local identities past and present.  However we can still cope with lots more stories.

• For example, would you be willing to write a 'Bouddi Bio' about your own or your family story, with special reference to your time in this place? With, or without, photos your story can be a very vivid one.
• Alternatively is there someone who lives, or has lived in this area, that you think well deserves being remembered by someone telling their story.
• A third possibility is for you to do some research on a prominent local person. For example, we would like to see a biography on Australian cricketer Ernie Toschack, or on Bill Davis Hughes, famous for his role in the building of the Opera House. Both were local residents. Please contact David Dufty (4360 1650) if you can help with a Bouddi Bio.

Bouddi Stories
Our second need is for chapter writers in our 'Bouddi Stories' project. We are still looking for contributors on subjects not covered in the CD  released on December 6 2008.  Once again contact Lee Casey and David Dufty for help with photos and research.
