Description: This life drawing series explores lockdown on the Bouddi Peninsula. Isolating in such a stunning place is an absolute privilege, but at times, it can feel as though we shouldn’t express sadness, even if we have lost work or desperately miss our loved ones. Even if we feel as cold and as hard as the beach stone we walk on. I hope viewers can connect with the figure in this drawing and know that it is okay to sit in the feelings, talk to someone about them, and when it is time, let them go.

CV:
I was born on Dharug and Gundungurra land, to proud Irish parents, who inspired a love of the arts, travel, nature, and history. I have worked as a Graphic Designer / Illustrator since 2003 in the arts, property and produce sectors. In 2015, my husband and I relocated our young family to the Bouddi Peninsula – without doubt, the best move we’ve ever made! I have designed and illustrated for local businesses and created portraits for families. Themes of sustainability, equality, mental health, and inclusiveness feature in my work – and my children inspire me every day. I love experimenting with charcoal, chalk, graphite, acrylic and watercolour.
Bachelor of Art (Design) Hons, Western Sydney University | 2000 – 2003
