Description: This larger work is all about the feelings and emotions Bouddi life brings.
Summer days beginning from when I was 10 years old coming up to Killcare to holiday at our friend's, The Melville's holiday house. After 40 plus years it never ceases to impress me.
The sun - the beach - the colours - the scents and lazy hazy days- the quietness and the community.

Music, Art and beauty in all things are important to me.
Art has always been a part of my life from a child onwards.
I had completed a Major in Art as part of a General Primary Teaching Degree.
After twenty plus years hiatus: I was extremely busy raising my daughter, worked as a school teacher and a lead singer in various bands, was a partner in a local business and living life to the full. I began to realise I had a yearning for my lifelong love to jump back into making art.
In 2010, I enrolled in Life Drawing and Painting groups held at Gosford Regional Gallery for the simple reason; I would garner confidence again a “springboard”!
Subsequently this led me to join the Soft Pastels Group at Gosford Gallery. The group was inspirational for me as I had always enjoyed pastels. Using soft pastels were so immediate, lush and gorgeous pigments to paint with. The people in that group were wonderful. Large Still Life pieces were my main subjects which flowed on to abstract conceptual pieces.
In recent years I have worked with acrylic paint on canvas and paper. My artistry also includes drawing; I use ink pen/posca/alcohol inks and charcoal on good paper. I take pleasure in spontaneous line drawing for the soothing and creative soulful effects it brings out for me and my viewers.
In my artistic practice, I draw inspiration from mine and others’ stories, beauty, emotions and the natural world. There is movement, passion and colour in response to a state of being and sometimes even the idea of making a big statement.
My versatility is expressed through varied approaches of figurative, representational, conceptual and abstract genres. My style is diverse and can hopefully evoke a dialogue with the viewer. I do struggle to choose any particular favourite colour, but I love this Paul Gauguin quote:
“Colour! What a deep and mysterious language, the language of dreams.”
